For tuition and registration info contact gpac@gracebc.org

LATE PAYMENT PENALTY

Tuition is due by the 1st of the month. There is a $10 late fee for a tuition payment not received by the 10th of the month. If a situation occurs and you need to pay late please contact the Worship Arts office at your earliest convenience.

If payment plus late fee is not received by the 15th of the month, student lessons will be placed on hold until the account is brought current. Failure to remit payment by the 28th of the month will necessitate dismissal of the student.

MISSED OR CANCELED LESSONS

The assigned lesson time is considered the responsibility of the student. The student should arrive in advance of their lesson time with materials needed for the lesson. There are no refunds or credits for missed lessons due to student absence. There is allowed one make-up per semester with 24-hour cancelation notice. Make-up lessons are scheduled on the year’s calendar.  Day of cancellations or no call/no show will not be made up. If a school function, family funeral, or a student’s hospital stay is the reason, when feasible, the instructor should be notified beforehand. If they cannot be reached, notify the GBC office at (865) 691-8886.

If a lesson is cancelled on the teacher’s behalf there will be a make-up lesson scheduled.

WEATHER & COMMUNITY EMERGENCIES

In the event of school closures due to snow or announced emergencies follow the Knox County advisories and school closings. Also check with the Grace Baptist Church offices. The teacher will contact you if lessons are cancelled. These lessons will be made-up as arrangements can be scheduled.  If the instructor is unable to arrange make-ups the lessons may be credited per their discretion.

TERMINATION OF LESSONS

If, for any reason, the student must terminate lessons before the end of the semester, the following will apply.

  • When possible, a written notice must be given.
  • When paying for a semester with one total payment and there is a remaining balance, the semester will be prorated, and balance refunded to you. There is no refund for missed lessons.

Please note: If a student needs to suspend their private lessons for any length of time, we hope you understand that we will need to fill the student’s spot. We can put the student’s name on our waiting list and will try to accommodate your return to lessons if/when a spot opens up in the future.

LESSON INFORMATION

Instruction is given as weekly private 30-minute lessons. Parents are always welcome to visit at any time! Please do not use class time for a conference but do ask for a conference time. It is encouraged for parents to check in with the instructor regarding their student’s progress.

PRACTICE
Practicing for the weekly lesson is a necessity if progress is to be achieved. It is better to practice moderately everyday rather than a major session before the lesson. Daily moderate practice will help the student achieve a great deal of skill. Consistent lack of practicing will quickly defeat their efforts. Parents must accept their responsibility in helping their student to develop a consistent habit of practicing.
